Joke Battles Wikia

Summary[]

One of the most important Pokémon used by Rodri in his Pokémon Silver Randomized Nuzlocke challenge.

Right after losing to Jasmine's Lanturn (She's a water type trainer here), Rodri had no good options to tackle the rest of he game, nor another area to catch more Pokémon. The best solution he could come up with was to train the Eevee received by Bill (Gift Pokémon couldn't be randomized, don't ask me why), the only problem was that there were no evolution stones until Kanto, meaning Eevee had to be evolved before he missed Psybeam as an Espeon (That is, in 16 levels or less).

After several days of training, haircuts, vitamins and EV training, Saludo al Sol wiped the floor with Jasmine and became a valuable team member. Sadly, the game data was lost right before the Red fight, so whether or not Saludo al Sol would have survided the fight remains a mystery...

lmao jk we beat his ass

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Before evolving:
    • Tackle: A physical attack in which the user charges and slams into the target with its whole body.
    • Tail Whip: The user wags its tail cutely, making the target less wary and lowering their Defense stat.
    • Sand Attack: Sand is hurled in the target's face, reducing its accuracy.
    • Growl: The user growls in an endearing way, making opposing Pokémon less wary. This lowers their Attack stat.
    • Quick Attack: The user lunges at the target at a speed that makes it almost invisible. This move always goes first.
    • Bite: The target is bitten with viciously sharp fangs. This may also make the target flinch.
    • Focus Energy: The user takes a deep breath and focuses so that critical hits land more easily.
  • After evolving:
    • Psybeam: The target is attacked with a peculiar ray. This may also leave the target confused.
    • Psych Up: The user hypnotizes itself into copying any stat change made by the foe.
    • Psychic: The target is hit by a strong telekinetic force. This may also lower the target's Sp. Def stat.
    • Morning Sun: The user restores its own HP. The amount of HP regained varies with the weather (More during harsh sunlight, less during rain, sandstorms, hail or fog. Unaffected otherwise)
