Summary[]

Princess "Bonnibel" Bubblegum, also known a PB and Peebles is the main antagonist of Chainsaw Time. She is the is the enigmatic ruler of the Candy Kingdom and leader of the Public Special Safety Division. Her true identity is later revealed to be both that of the Control Devil, the fear of control and domination embodied as well as the Candy Elemental, who seeks to utilize the Chainsaw Devil's power to create a new world eradicated of anything she considers a problem and where she could stand equal with others.

  • Enhanced Senses (As Finn surmises, Bonnibel doesn't actually need to "see", but rather discerns people based on their scents and nothing else. Through her sense of smell, she's capable of telling apart devils and humans as well as being able to track the former. The capabilities of her other senses are similarly judicious, such as her sight being capable of spotting the Litch from a distance of 500 kilometers away and even tracking Jake’s actions when he was shot into space. Likewise, her keen hearing can listen to conversations from vastly long distances through the senses of others, even if they're in the middle of a thunderstorm or taking place in another country entirely.)

  • Martial Arts (Able to keep up and eventually overwhelm a "clone" version of Chainsaw Man, who was later revealed to be a weakened clone of Jake acting as Finn, in pure hand-to-hand combat. Near his peak, Jake was skilled enough to battle both the Four Horsemen and the Weapon Devils in hell at the same time. As Jake is able to view the world through Finn after their fusion, he should possess knowledge of the special combat training given to Denji by Simon as well.)

In cases where death would occur, a candy citizen will die in her place. Her telekinesis has also been used in lifting others above her in conjunction with her chains, removing a part of her brain matter to create a halo with it, and, either with her own powers or an unspecified devil contract, she is capable of crushing her targets to the point where only splatters of blood remain. However, a complex ritual is required beforehand that involves a location of high altitude, sacrifices, and saying the name of the target.)

While the exact method used by her isn't explicit, it's likely that she used some sort of biological attack to cause internal hemorrhaging within that man's brain with her stare. Uses a similar attack against the Hunson later on.)

  • Mind Manipulation (As the Control Devil, she has the power to take control of everything that she perceives to be lesser than her: from their actions to personalities. Her control not only affects the living but can also somehow control the deceased as well.)

    • Empathic Manipulation (As stated above, could rewrite the personalities of others to cherish her, even if they possessed previous strong animosity against her such as Flame Princess.)
    • Perception Manipulation (Should scale to Goliad, her reincarnated body, who could alter the perception of taste of a devil so that humans tasted like "absolute crap" to that devil.)
    • Animal Manipulation (Able to control lower life forms without a problem to move around, communicate, hijack their senses to listen to conversations, or to view the actions of others.)
    • Body Puppetry (Is able to control the bodies of those under her control with her chains.)
    • Limited Telepathy (Was able to communicate with Marceline even when she was in hell and Bonnibel was still on Earth, although this seems to be only possible with those that she has under her control.)

These artifacts also allow the Ice Devil to possess their user, turning them into a temporary host. Can also create cursed ice rings that can hypnotize the wearer)

It also produces ice on the victim's body, eventually encompassing their entire being. Victims struggle to move and become dangerously weak, even sneezing ice and snow. As the flu is contagious, anyone who touches a victim will also develop the symptoms)

Varies, up to Large Planet Level with contracts (Some of the stronger entities under her control like Marceline or the Gumball Guardians.)

Speed: FTL+ (Should be vastly superior to much of the cast like Marceline and Finn.)

Striking Strength: Large Mountain Level. Varies, up to Large Planet Level with contracts

Durability: Large Mountain Level (Can exchange blows with Finn's Hybrid form). Varies, up to Large Planet Level with contracts

Stamina: Superhuman (Can be torn apart and take severe damage to her vital organs and continue to fight, and will always come back with no injuries and fully recovered. Has worked in her lab on complex experiments for days on end.)

Range: Standard Melee Range, Hundreds of Kilometers with Telekinesis (Sent Finn into space), Unknown with Control (Her contract and general status extends to every citizen of her and multiple other kingdoms, requiring her to be able to reach them in order to affect them. She still had control over Marceline despite the latter being in Nightosphere...)

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius (Princess Bubblegum is extremely talented in dozens of different fields, creating several different inventions given preparation, leading a kingdom single handedly as a child, and even some combat skill. Has a mastery in the fields of Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Military and Mysticism. Can speak multiple language. She was able to use very minor clues to locate Hambo inside of Maja's mansion. Planned everything that happened to Finn throughout the entire series, including the deaths of individuals important to him. Manipulated almost every member of the Public Special Safety Division into bringing out an outcome where Finn would offer himself to her with no resistance.)

Weaknesses: Can underestimate individuals who she sees as inferior to herself. Lingering sources of damage (such as Marceline's blood manipulation) can impede her regeneration, leaving her temporarily vulnerable. The resurrection she gains from her contract can be bypassed by injuring/killing her without violent intent...

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Control: Being the devil that embodies control and domination, Bonnibel has shown to control any life-form that she perceives to be lesser than herself. This control is neither limited to humans, devils, fiends and animals alike, nor has it shown to possess an upper limit to how many subjects she can put under her control at once. Once a victim is placed under her control, they seemingly subsequently loses their memory, allowing Bonnibel to do whatever she wants with them; from rewriting their personality, altering their senses or notably placing them under a contract that gives her full control over them even when they're not under the influence of her powers, which cannot be broken out of unless they want to die. After she takes control, she can also use the abilities of those under her control, both alive and deceased, even if they're contracted from other devils.
    • Control Chains: Bonnibel is also capable of summoning chains out her body which can be used to either carry her controlled victims along with her or give her a more direct approach to control as shown by the next Control Devil, Goliad. These chains also seem to be completely intangible as well.
  • Telekinesis: Bonnibel is able to use an invisible force akin to telekinesis which she normally uses to lift her controlled minions up into the air or remove parts of her brain matter in order to create portals.
    • Bang: By pointing her finger at a target, Bonnibel is able to project this invisible force which is powerful enough to completely blow apart bodies.
  • Death Ritual: Bonnibel can completely crush her opponents into bloody remains upon arriving at a location of high altitude and using human sacrifices to say the name of a target of her choosing.

Control Devil: Bonnibel has shown to control any person to a large extent, even being able to force them into making contracts with her or another Devil. It seems as though once placed under her control, the victim subsequently loses their memory. This power works on humans, fiends, Hybrids, and Devils. After she takes control of a human, she can use the abilities of their contracted Devils even after their death.

Controlled Minions

Over the years Bonnibel has gathered a large quantity of minions under her control. Notable minions that Bonnibel has shown direct usage in combat against others include:

Marceline Abadeer: Bonnibel has control over Marceline The Vampire Queen, a half bread demon who has absorbed the last remaining vampires and became their defacto queen.

  • Soul sucking: Marceline stated the only power her demon heritage granted her was the ability to suck souls, like her father. This allowed her to gain the specific abilities from individuals she has killed. .
  • Pyrokinesis: She can light fire with only her mind, as seen in "Evicted!" when she lit up all the candles in the tree-house.
  • Telekinesis: She can move things using her mind.
  • Necromancy: She can raise skeletons as her subordinates
  • Shape-shifting: She has the ability to shape-shift into numerous monstrous forms, including a bat, a wolf, a reptilian creature, and a large tentacled monster.

Ice Devil: Bonnibel has control over the Ice Devil, giving her access to the following abilities:

  • Ice Manipulation
  • Weapon Creation
  • Air Manipulation

Flame Princess: Bonnibel has control over Phoebe, the current ruler of the Fire Kingdom and is able to transform into the Bomb Hybrid by pulling a pin on her neck, much like a grenade, she is capable of the fallowing:

  • Flame Manipulation: Phoebe can create a variety of fire based abilities
    • Flame Sword and Shield: Creates a fire swords and shields with her arm.
    • Heat Sense: Can detect fake things or unnatural placements
    • Scatter Fire: Throws 4 manipulable blots of fire.
    • Snake Fire: Using her arms she creates whips of fire.
    • Inferno Shot: A large beam of fire is shot from her hands.
  • Explosion Creation: Phoebe is capable of creating massive explosions out of her arms and legs as well as capable of sending out explosive projectiles.
    • Explosive Propulsion: By releasing continuous and consecutive explosions from her arms and legs, Phoebe can travel through the air.
    • Self-Detonation: Phoebe is able to turn any part of her body into bombs even if they're disconnected from her which acts as remote explosives.
  • Molotov Transformation: Phoebe can transform her limbs into Molotovs, which are able to enhance her punches and kicks to become more devastating.
  • Telekinesis: Bonnibel is able to use an invisible force akin to telekinesis which she normally uses to lift her controlled minions up into the air or remove parts of her brain matter in order to create portals.
    • Bang: By pointing her finger at a target, Bonnibel is able to project this invisible force which is powerful enough to completely blow apart bodies.

Note: As Princess Bubblegum's powers are passive and extend to everyone she meets and controls posthumously, she may possess the powers of creatures with whom she has never had direct control or contact. This is proved by her discovery of multiple strong creatures only after Finn had killed it.
