Hank J. Wimbleton as seen with arguably his most iconic attire
Hank J. Wimbleton is the protagonist of the Madness Combat series. He is a psychotic mercenary who enjoys his job, dancing, and oddly enough the Chicken dance remix. his appearance varies throughout the series but it always involves bandages, usually red goggles, and usually with some form of weapon. Hank has shown some relatively impressive feats such as some instances of non physical interaction and has killed over 650 people in his series alone, adding up to 48% of all the kills throughout the series. He resurrects due to the very powerful, all seeing higher powers, who enjoys watching the chaos unfold in Nevada which is why they keep resurrecting hank and most of the other cast. Hank is confirmed to be Ambidextrous.
Note: this is somewhat of a composite page, taking things from non canon sources (Such as crossovers)
Powers and Stats[]
Tier: 8-C, likely Far Higher | 8-C, likely Far Higher, likely Even Higher with Normality Lightning | 8-C, likely Far Higher, likely Low 2-C, possibly 2-C to 2-B | 2-C to 2-B | Unknown | At least 8-B+, possibly Low 2-C, possibly 1-A to 0
Name: Hank J. Wimbleton
Origin: Madness Combat
Gender: Referred to as Male although Krinkles (the creator of madness combat) states the uncertainty of any nevadan residents having genders
Age: Unknown, likely 20 or 30 throughout the main events of the series, possibly 50 to 60 in project nexus
Classification: Nevadian mercenary
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman physical characteristics, Non-Human Physiology, immortality (types 2, 3, 4, and 8, possibly type 1 via an interpretation of a question answered by krinkes), self sustenance (type 2, was stated by Krinkles that they do not eat), weapon mastery/Improbable Weapon Proficiency, martial arts, vehicular mastery, acrobatics, stealth mastery, limited regeneration (up to mid to possibly high mid, potentially Low Godly; In Madness Retaliation, characters can be practically erased via the Higher Powers lightning but are also able to came back from them. However this is only via resurrection alone.), non physical interaction (can interact with improbability drive spaces that contain euclidean geometry failure), possible Reality warping (passive, in one of the posters, hank is wanted for the distortion of reality. Its a theory that the thing in hanks head in Antipathy is an improbability drive, if this is true, then he would also have all the abilities of the improbability drive), Blessed (blessed by the Higher Power, which grants him Resurrection, Plot Armor, passive Fate Manipulation, and Supernatural Willpower), Badassery Embodiment, Reality Anchoring, Physics manipulation via cool factor (Cool Factor is a commonly used term by Krinkles to explain why and how characters are capable of "Floating in air for half a second" or how they are capable of double jumping), Accelerated Sequince (can quickly travel through vents without error in his bossfight from Madness: Project Nexus), Madness Embodiment, Culinary Intuition (as seen here), Darkness Manipulation and either Pseudo Teleportation or limited Invisibility via Shadow Dash/Dodge from Madness Retaliation (this ability allows him to seemingly teleportort or become invisible via turning into a shadow of sorts. With it he can dodge abilities or move closer to enemies much more quickly), Enhanced Senses (can shoot enemies behind them without having to see them), Preparation (was able to obtain the Sheriff Tracker), Immortal Slayer (was stated to have "Killed a god" during his bossfight in Madness: Project Nexus, which is a reference to when he killed Phobos earlier), empowerment and statistics amplification (Nevadian citizens become stronger under the influence of fear and bloodlusts), Social Influencing (was stated by Krinkles to have dabbled in Real Estate), immortality negation (type 2, 3, 4, 5, possibly 6, and 7; has shown to easily kill zombies. Can kill people in the Other Place, or in other words, The Afterlife. All enemies he has killed in the Other Place should at least be somewhat comparable to Dedmos, who possesses said immortalities. They both should be comparable due to both being within The Other Place, which Purgatory is a part of. Can kill Phobos, who has type 2, 4, 6 and 7 immortalities), The N-Word (type 2, said the N word in MADNESS: Incident 10v3), Likely longevity, limited Pocket Reality Manipulation (when asked if madness characters have their own personal hells when they die, krinkles responded "That's ideally" however this ability is not combat applicable and the characters have no way of using this ability), self perception manipulation and after image creation (via bullet time)
All previous abilities plus fire manipulation (via flamethrower), energy projection (via Raygun from Madness clay destruction and the various "Dissonant reality" weapons from Nexus core), Deconstruction/Matter manipulation (via dissonant reality weapons) and Radiation Manipulation as well as Madness Manipulation. via dissonance weapons (Dissonance weapons have been shown to completely obliterate targets and has been described as a "Reality Warping, Radioactive Miasma". The entire reason Dr. Crackpots team went mad is due to exposure to dissonance), Chaos Manipulation (The name Dissonance implies that Dissonant energy is chaotic), Logic Manipulation and Mind Manipulation (Dissonance can "Warp logic and distorted minds of anyone who can perceive it"), Homing Attack (some dissonance weapons have been shown to be homing), Attack Reflection (can deflect bullets with weapons as seen in Madness Retaliation), explosion manipulation (via grenades and rocket launcher).
all previous abilities plus Divine electricity manipulation and Electricity Attacks as well as Zap, possible Order Energy Manipulation (the lightning he uses in his attacks are similar to the normality lightning that strikes around Nevada after the Improbability drives were destroyed), Electricity Absorption, further statistics amplification (can power up his attacks via electricity), power absorption (was able to absorb some of the power from the Halo after only holding it briefly), attack reflection (caught the auditors sword and using electricity manipulation he reflected the attack away), Link Manipulation (once he held the halo, he not only absorbed some of its powers, but also made it so that it was incompatible to the Auditor), enhanced senses
all previous abilities plus cyborgization (his arm is replaced with a more powerful, metal version of itself), Immortality Negation (type 9; was empowered by the Auditor to kill Tricky in expurgation), Metal manipulation (can create large iron spikes out of the ground via electricity), telekinesis, flight, possible intangibility
likely all the abilities of base Hank including Elasticity, Toon Force, Vibration Manipulation, Sound Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Flight, Body Control, Extrasensory perception and/or Clairvoyance (somehow knew when two grunts were committing piracy), and Meme Manipulation (PSA: Piracy is based on the "Never illegally download" meme)
Resistance to probability manipulation, transmutation, gravity manipulation, and physics manipulation (immune to the improbability drives effects) plus resistances to pain manipulation, fear manipulation, empathetic manipulation, Morality Manipulation, mind manipulation (the auditor was unable to control him), Hair Manipulation (was stated to be completely bald), corruption (type 1 and 2, unaffected by the Improbability drives corruption capabilities, that corrupted and altered all of Nevada. Unaffected by the type 1 corruption capabilities of other enemies), Matter Manipulation/Deconstruction and Radiation Manipulation, Chaos Manipulation (The name Dissonance implies that Dissonant energy is chaotic), as well as Madness Manipulation (can withstand Dissonance weapons, dissonance has also been described as a "Reality Warping, Radioactive Miasma". The entire reason Dr. Crackpots team went mad is because of exposure to dissonance)
Attack Potency: Building level (can harm beings like tricky, who can kill jebus, who can destroy entire buildings with the Improbability Drive) possibly Far Higher (As previously mentioned, he can harm Tricky, who have a improbability drive, which contains enough energy to implode the Auditor, who is arguably comparable to Phobos due to him trying to become an Employer. with the auditor being a employer, it is likely that the Auditor should scale to Phobos, who was going to merge a multiversal dimension with himself. That realm is the Other Place, which is the afterlife It has been stated by Krinkels that every character has their own afterlife,) | Building level, possibly Far Higher (Same as before), likely Even Higher with normality Lightning (With it, he can damage the Auditor, who is comparable to Phobos, who can merge himself with the Other Plac, a multiversal realm) | Building level, likely Far Higher, likely Universe+ Level (dealt substantial damage to Expurgation Tricky, who had full control over the Auditors own dimension), possibly Low Multiverse Level to Multiverse Level (Expurgation Tricky was implied to be comparable to The Auditor itself, who is an Employer; god like entities that transcends both Nevada and The Other Place. Phobos was trying to become an Employer, so it isn't out of the question that The Employers should be comparable or superior to him) | Low Multiversal to Multiverse Level (Can harm Phobos, who is capable of merging the Other Place with Nevada. The Other Place is implied to be composed of multiple hells due to the difference between Hank's hell in MC 9.5 and Dedmos Adventures hell. It was stated that every character has their own hell, meaning that the enemies more than likely also have their own hells. Which could entail that every Nevadan has a hell of their own. This hell is more than likely in the Other Place due to The Other Place being the Madness Combat afterlife) | Unknown | At least City Block Level+ (Killed Pico in Newgrounds Rumble, who could survive an entire city block exploding and creating a huge chasm underground. According to Krinkels, he would tie with deadpool, who has a few City Block level feats) possibly Universe+ Level (Ties in combat with Samurai Asshole, who literally killed a dragon god in heaven, which is presumed to be a higher realm), possibly Outerversal to Boundless (Can damage and kill Tricky, who is capable of killing BF as seen in the fnf reference in Madness Project Nexus, which shows Tricky dancing over BF's corpse. BF was capable of beating several SCP's in a rap battle, including SCP-106 in his own pocket dimension, SCP-999 who will eventually grow strong enough to defeat the Scarlet King, and even SCP-173, who is an unfathomable god. Hank has battled and won against Pico, who is comparable to Steve from Minecraft due to also being an unlockable character in Meat Boy. Steve can battle Mario in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Mario, who apparently killed off the entirety of comic book industry (MARVEL's What The--?! Vol 1 24), won the love of Death herself, who Thermos had a crush on. Thermos litterally killed off the entirety of MARVEL to win her love, however Death was unimpressed by this, implying that Mario is supirior to Thermos)
Speed: Subsonic with at least Supersonic+ to Hypersonic+ reactions and combat speeds (Can easily kill grunts, who can deflect bullets with swords, and deflected bullets at close range. Comparable to Jebus, who is capable of dodging The Auditors minigun fire) | Same as before | Same as before, possibly Far Higher (Can keep up with Expurgation Tricky) | Unknown, possibly SoL (Should be able to react to the lightning weapons throughout Nexus core), possibly Far Higher (Keeps up with Phobos in Combat) | Unknown | Varies, at best it is Irrelevant (Comparable to beings like Pico, who is comparable to Steve, who is comparable to Mario, who can destroy the entirety of the Comic Book Industry)
Lifting Strength: At least Class 5 | possibly Class 10 | possibly Class 10 | Unknown | Unknown | Varies, at best Irrelevant (Comparable to beings like Pico, who is comparable to Steve, who is comparable to Mario, who can destroy the entirety of the Comic Book Industry)
Striking Strength: Small building level to Building level | small building to building level | small building to building level, likely Universe+ Level to possibly Low Multiverse Level | Multiverse Level | Unknown | At least City Block Level+, possibly Universe+ Level, possibly Outerversal to Boundless
Durability: Building level (He tanked a fall from the sky, getting knocked down a canyon and getting punted through a wall by Jesus. He fought Tricky blow for blow and they both tanked a train crashing and exploding together. When Tricky was amped even further by the Improbability Drive as Demon Tricky he created two buildings and Hank could tank hits from him) | Building level to Large Building level | Building level to Large Building level, likely Universe+ Level to Low Multiverse Level | Multiverse Level (Can take direct hits from Phobos) | Unknown | At least City Block Level+ (Easily tanks punches from Pico in Newgrounds Rumble, who could survive an entire city block exploding and creating a huge chasm underground. According to Krinkels, he would tie with deadpool, who has a few City Block level feats) possibly Universe+ Level (Ties in combat with Samurai Asshole, who literally killed a dragon god in heaven, which is presumed to be a higher realm), possibly Outerversal to Boundless (Took hits from Tricky on multiple occasions, who is capable of killing BF as seen in the fnf reference in Madness Project Nexus, which shows Tricky dancing over BF's corpse. BF was capable of beating SCP's as shown in the fnf SCP mod, such as SCP-106 in his pocket dimension and SCP-999 who would soon be capable of beating the Scarlet King, along with SCP-173 who is an all powerfull god. Can take hits from Pico, who is comparable to Steve from Minecraft due to also being an unlockable character in Meat Boy.
Stamina: Extremely High (Even when he had been sliced up and impaled with a street sign he kept fighting and even defeated Tricky. He did this again and ran through an entire building while fighting Tricky after his jaw had been ripped off, not to mention the other buildings he had gone through full of agents beforehand just to get to Tricky) | Extremely High | Extremely High | Unknown | Variable
Range: Dozens of meters with guns | At least a meter with his arm | a few meters with his abilities | at least Extended Melee range | Variable
Standard Equipment: Various weapons ranging from guns of all types so blades of all types to quite literally anything usable as a weapon, however if he gets his hands on one, he can use energy weapons as shown when he easily used powerful Dissonant reality weapons from Nexus core which disintegrate, if not completely erase people (these dissonant reality weapons can vary from Minigun like weapons to rocket launcher like weapons) | a hammer and a Clamp (PSA: Piracy) | Variable
Intelligence: Average to gifted (Built a pipebomb with little resources) Genius in combat (He has mass slaughtered agents from the AAHW that are given some of the military's greatest training and can fight in Nevada's non-metric twisted inside-out hellscape and spaces within this landscape with failed Euclidean Geometry. Even when these agents are given more than twice as much training, they're still mass slaughtered fodders to him. He has maneuvered his way through Hell numerous times, even when he was nowhere near his current capacity, whereas Hell tries its hardest to physically and mentally torture its victims. Sanford and Deimos could fight within the Nevadan, Euclidean Geometry failed Hell landscapes, but they died at the hands of the upgraded Betrayers, whereas Hank would have embarrassed the Betrayers, Sanford and Deimos according to Krinkles) | below average to average | below average to average | Unknown | Variable
Weaknesses: His Resurrection may not always be reliable as sometimes the higher powers choose not to resurrect Hank at all, and hes willing to fight others stronger than him. he will die a violent death if he smokes a cigarette | none notable other than decrease of intelligence | none notable other than decrease of intelligence | variable
Notable Attacks/Techniques: Hank uses whatever will get the job done quickest, prioritizing brutality and efficiency over stealth if he's not at any risk. He's shown to use stealth tactics to infiltrate military bases, and his skill with various melee weapons, throwables and firearms is off the charts. He's used regular street signs at weapons, stolen guns right out of his enemies' hands, donned a silencer for a stealth mission and much more. He typically starts off with using some on hand weapons to kill the opponent, and if that doesn't work, focuses on dealing as much damage as possible without getting hurt (at which time he'll likely use Bullet Time) It's noted that Hank isn't afraid to fight someone he knows he can't win against but he won't be dumb enough to let them destroy him, he'll just make a good effort. | Hank fights similar to before and will even use weapons, however in this state he comes with a lot more strength and some new interesting abilities. He can channel electricity for more detrimental blows, and also to move large objects telekinetically, or even to reflect attacks. It's overall a pretty useful addition to his previous abilities, however he doesn't seem to use Bullet Time at all in this state. | same as regular Mag hank | none notable | Variable
Key: Base Hank | Mag Hank | Mag Hank in Hell | M:PN | PSA: Piracy Hank | Cross scaling (Kinda wanked)
