Due to Mettaton being made with metal and magic, presumably Alphys' magic, Alphys likely also used her own magic to give the phone its pocket dimensions, and since monsters are physically made of magic, Alphys is able to attack with the force of two dimensions crashing into you at the very least. Since Alphys did this in only around five seconds, it can be assumed she's actually much stronger than this in reality)
